Sample Analysis

We can analyse samples taken as part of an asbestos survey or samples sent to us by clients. We have the facility to analyse samples immediately if brought to our laboratory, dependent upon the number of samples (prior arrangement required).

Bulk sampling is carried out by highly qualified staff in our laboratory, initially using Low Power Optical Microscopy to aid identification of fibres, then examined under Polarised Light Microscopy (PLM) to identify the exact nature of asbestos present. A certificate will then be issued to the client to confirm fibre identification.

To ensure quality we participate in the AIMs (Asbestos in Materials Scheme) administered by the Health & Safety Executive Laboratory.
